Associate, Investment Operations
Pathstone is a growing wealth management firm serving ultra-high net worth families and foundations. The Investment Operations Associate position involves supporting the centralized investment operations team with private fund investments and client relationships, requiring strong attention to detail and operational acumen.ResponsibilitiesWork independently and prioritize tasks based on urgency and deadlinesCoordinate with necessary parties as needed (including relevant counterparties, custodians, portfolio managers, client teams, research, and Legal & Compliance) to ensure seamless processing of transactionsCommunicate directly with clients in a timely mannerIndependently complete fund subscription documents on behalf of clientsIndependently complete custodian new account opening forms for clientsTimely and accurately execute investment operations (i.e. transaction processing, investment funding, cash transfers, facilitate securities trades, wire set-up, standing letters of authorization, etc.) in accordance with guidelines and regulatory requirementsCoordinate the collection of AML/KYC documents for client investment in funds with external clients and internal teams, applying judgment in response to specific manager requestsUsing appropriate judgment, escalate issues and inaccuracies to the head of Investment OperationsSkillsPossess a strong motivation to provide great client serviceEnjoy problem solving, a fast-paced environment, and working as part of a teamValue and model the attributes that make our firm great: collaboration, excellence, good judgement, initiative, innovation, integrity, and leadershipHave a bachelor's degree and one to three years of financial services experience, with exposure to the areas of investment operations, fund administration, data governance, and/or investment managementWork well in a 'start-up' team environment where accountability and initiative are highly valuedAre an intellectually curious, creative problem solver who is not afraid to ask questionsCommunicate effectively and are comfortable presenting in both verbal and written formatsDemonstrate the ability to handle pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-motivated environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detailPrioritize operating ethically and professionally, demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, and consistently exercise good judgementWelcome feedback and are quick to act on itOperate with a positive, proactive, 'no-job-is-too-small' attitudeBenefitsComprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverageFlexible spending optionsFlexible PTOLife insuranceEducation supportA 401(k) planParental leaveAnd moreCompany OverviewPathstone is a financial service company that provides oriented impact investment solutions inclusive of measurement and reporting tools.
