They are seeking an Associate for Internal Sales in Intermediary Distribution to drive sales results for mutual fund and ETF products by building relationships with investment advisors and executing sales strategies.ResponsibilitiesDrives sales results for designated mutual fund/ETF products through non-affiliated or third-party Advisory intermediaries and within BMO Advisory channelsPuts investment advisors first and supports their wholesaler in driving sales results across their regionWorks with investment advisors, prospects, internal stakeholders to build relationships and drive resultsProposes solutions to investment advisors and makes recommendations based on an understanding of their needs and market opportunitiesBuilds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholdersWorks closely with partnered wholesaler, maintains consistent and clear communication at all timesDevelops, maintains and executes a business plan, including sales strategies, to achieve sales objectives and acquire new investment advisorsParticipates in industry and intermediary events to grow presence in the marketplaceDemonstrated experience speaking to macro economic conditions, financial markets and various investment vehiclesOrganizes and arranges regular conference calls and presentations, which are conducted either independently or in conjunction with portfolio managers to promote new strategiesOngoing partnership with team members to encourage strategic region management and capitalizing on new opportunitiesDemonstrated self starter – proactively finds new ways to identify new investment advisors, and convert prospects into new relationshipsComfortable managing multiple priorities and competing deadlinesTakes initiative when handling ad hoc tasks for investment advisorsDemonstrates effective and timely use of the Salesforce/customer relationship management systemsAdheres to all compliance, regulatory, and legal guidelinesThinks creatively and proposes new solutionsExercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rulesWorks mostly independentlyBroader work or accountabilities may be assigned as neededHybrid work arrangement expected – 4 days in the office minimumSkillsCompleted Canadian Securities Course, CIM or CFP certifications are strong assetsBasic understanding of intermediary Advisory sales and the Investment marketAbility to proactively conduct effective sales conversations on investment strategies and solutions over the phone with investment advisorsVerbal & written communication skills - In-depthCollaboration & team skills - In-depthInfluence skills - In-depthBenefitsHealth insuranceTuition reimbursementAccident and life insuranceRetirement savings plansCompany OverviewWe’re a bank, but there’s more to it than that. ​ When you join BMO, it opens a world of opportunities.
