Associate Editor / Editor, Astronomy (Books)
Springer Nature is one of the leading publishers of research in the world. They are looking to hire a dynamic, progressive Acquisitions Editorial colleague to build their Astronomy book list, responsible for the growth of the astronomy, astrophysics, and space science book portfolio via acquisition and development.ResponsibilitiesPursues an active and efficient acquisitions policy through correspondence, required meetings/trips, telephone, consultations with advisors, etcSolicits, assesses, and develops book proposalsApproximately 25-30% travel, as well as strong initiative and independent functioningAttends key astronomy and space science conferences and visits scientists at their institutes for the purpose of book acquisition.
