Associate Director, Major Gifts

Remote Full-time
The Associate Director manages prospects or fundraising programs to grow overall revenue through personal and/or program-related solicitation. Responsible for managing the process of identifying, qualifying, and personally soliciting and cultivating a portfolio of donors and works closely with colleagues from other teams to coordinate prospect management activity. Responsible for assisting the entire Division with reaching financial goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Personal Solicitation: May personally solicit a set number of prospects to raise incremental revenue for Dana-Farber. Identify and research prospects, solicit prospects for increased commitments, qualify and steward prospects, and prepare and submit proposals while tracking results.
• Reporting: Report progress on goals and responsibilities to the department; produce analysis of personal solicitation effectiveness. Coordinate with Information Systems staff for reporting and prospect tracking. Generate Call Reports.
• Programmatic: Assist with implementation of comprehensive prospect management plan.
• Other Activities as Needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Organization: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Solid organizational, project management, and multi-tasking abilities skills, with an aptitude for prioritizing tasks. Strong attention to detail. Effective and efficient time-management abilities. Strong ability to be resourceful and self-initiate tasks.
• Judgement: Exceptional ability to exercise judgement, maintain confidentiality, and act with discretion when working with a variety of stakeholders.
• Data Analysis: Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used for decision-making.
• Computer Literacy: Strong knowledge of development databases, and Microsoft Office applications, with excellent Excel skills.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum Experience:

6+ years of relevant work experience.

License/Certification/Registration:

None
