GW is a premier publishing services provider, and they are seeking an Associate Developmental Editor to create educational content and assessments. The role involves evaluating content, ensuring conformity to standards, writing new content, and managing projects to enhance the learning experience.ResponsibilitiesCritically evaluating content and assessments written by freelance SMEs/writers and bringing materials in line with established standardsEnsuring content conforms to supplied templates (file formatting, order of content)Writing new content as needed, including writing summaries and writing/rewriting questionsManaging select projects, including communicating directly with the customer, monitoring/managing costs, and keeping the project on scheduleSkillsBachelor's degree or higherPrevious professional assessment writing experience or project management experienceExperience with Microsoft Office, especially Track ChangesAbility to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong critical thinking skillsStrong writing and grammar skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong attention to detail/accuracy1+ year's experience in publishing, education (teaching or research), or trainingDegree or working toward a degree in instructional design, education (higher ed preferred), or curriculum developmentIntermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft WordPrior experience writing assessment questionsBenefitsOpportunities for advancementVariety!
