Associate, Development

The Development Associate will support the administration and operations of partnerships with funders, manage donor reporting, and enhance internal systems to drive strategic operational outcomes.ResponsibilitiesProduce well-crafted donor reports for foundations, governments, and corporate funders that present the GIIN's market building activities with clarity, elevating key achievements relative to funder prioritiesCollaborate with the Development team and/or GIIN program teams to ensure compliance with and completion of grant obligations, including but not limited to key performance indicators, project deliverables and milestones, and specific reporting requirementsManage data collection for internal organization-wide quarterly reporting by GIIN program teams, including: Developing and/or updating internal reporting templates for new grants Gathering and ensuring high-quality, accurate, and relevant information/data. Liaising with program staff to ensure appropriate and clear framing or presentation of activitiesMaintain Salesforce data for all grants and donorsSupport grant management for the GIIN's portfolio of funders, including: Creating grant management materials to ensure clear understanding of grant commitments and details across Development, Program, and Finance teams. Coordinating with the Finance team on grant administrative details Corresponding with funders for administrative purposes as needed Maintain institutional donor files and grant records, including tracking relevant funder information, proposal and reporting timelines, and conducting regular audits for data accuracy in Salesforce and other internal systemsManage files and important documents for the Development team, in coordination with Finance and Operations teamsSupport event sponsor cultivation efforts through research and administrative support as needed to help expand the GIIN's sponsor pipelineContribute to the grant proposal development process, including compiling organizational due diligence information, drafting grant narratives, and managing submissions Support donor pipeline development, including conducting research on prospective funders and tracking action itemsSupport all other day-to-day operations that enable a successful fundraising strategySkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, communications, journalism, international development, or a related field0–2+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development operations, grant writing/management, or a related administrative roleStrong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce clear, well-organized materials for diverse audiencesExperience working with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform; comfort with data entry, recordkeeping, and basic reportingExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentProactive, self-starter approach with a commitment to process improvement and operational excellenceAbility to collaborate effectively across teams and engage with staff at all levelsCommitment to human dignity, justice, fairness, and respectFamiliarity with impact investing, sustainable finance, or related fieldsExperience with foundation, government, or corporate grant compliance and reportingProficiency with Google Workspace, project management tools (e.g., Asana), and data visualization or reporting toolsExperience supporting donor prospecting and pipeline researchBenefitsExcellent benefits packageCompany OverviewThe Global Impact Investing Network, Inc.
