They are looking for an Associate Designer to join their team, responsible for creating inspiring designs for small leather goods, cosmetic bags, and home and beauty products.ResponsibilitiesThis role will be responsible for supporting the creation of inspiring cads and packaging designs for our in-house brands and private label projectsOrganizes samples, swatch libraries and cads accordingly with in our systemsThe associate designer will be responsible to re-color and work with new and existing cadsAbility to work with and create new and existing prints from start to finishGenerates style #’s using PLMDevelops clear technical packages for overseas factoriesWorks across multiple product categories including: SLG’s Cosmetic bags / Home items / and beauty toolsThe designer should be comfortable to tackle projects in multiple areas of the business and enjoy problem solving and presenting design solutions effectivelyApply trends and functional design skillsDemonstrates a strong passion for creative design as well as efficiently updates existing designsCreates brand-right, customer-right, compelling, commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction and business strategy from Director and sales teamAdapts and revises designs based on feedback, incorporating for finalization and buy plansBuilds and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams to execute all projects in a creative, timely and cost-efficient mannerClearly communicate design concepts to comp houses to produce accurate cad representationsAchieve set goals with acute attention-to-detail, tracking progress and anticipating potential issuesAssists in preparing materials for meetings and presentationsEmbraces opportunities to personally grow and develop skills and competenciesAbility to self-motivate to enhance creative and technical skills of self and teamSkillsBachelor's Degree in Packaging/Graphic Design or accessories design related field0-3 years of design experience in a highly creative/innovative environmentPortfolio that demonstrates packaging and branding designs with an aesthetic relevant to the fashion/beauty industryExperience with relevant design software particularly Adobe Photoshop and IllustratorKnowledge in, and passion for, current trends in design, beauty, and fashionStrong communication, organizational and problem-solving skillsMust be a team player and excel in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative partner with a can do attitudeHighly motivated, passionate and results orientedUpholds personal professionalism and accountabilityBenefitsCompetitive PayGenerous PTO and paid holidaysComprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance plans401K PlanCommuter Benefit PlanEarly FridaysProfessional trainingTeam building and Company events4 days onsite; 1 day work from homeCompany OverviewGina Group is wholesale fashion apparel, accessories, and lifestyle company.
