What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Conduct exploratory data analysis, including statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and statistical inference
Build forecasting and continuous learning models for optimizing smart energy devices in demand response programs
Code robust models using Python to address client challenges and develop internal tools
Collaborate with data engineering and visualization teams for delivering client projects
Develop cloud-based tools and processes to scale data analysis
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in data science, statistics, computer science, management information systems, or a related field
2+ years of experience in a data science role (masters degree can substitute for experience)
Proficiency in open-source data science languages, particularly Python
Familiarity with Python data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib
Excellent oral and written communication skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Masters degree in data science, statistics, computer science, management information systems, or a related field
A portfolio of Data Science/ML projects available for review
Knowledge of geospatial data processing and experience with GIS software (e.g., QGIS) and libraries (e.g., geopandas)
Experience with Azure, especially Azure Databricks for data processing and machine learning
Experience writing complex SQL queries and using git
