The Associate Business Valuation Consultant will perform valuation engagements under supervision, execute valuations for various reporting purposes, and prepare valuation models while collaborating with a diverse client base.ResponsibilitiesPerform all aspects of client field work relating to valuation engagements under the direct supervision of senior consultants and aboveExecute valuations for financial reporting (e.g., business combinations, goodwill impairment testing, stock options, etc.), tax reporting, and strategic planning purposesPrepare and review valuation models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), guideline public company, and transaction methodCommunicate and work with a broad client base consisting of private equity firms, publicly traded companies, venture-backed companies, etcUnderstanding of, and ability to compute, financial ratios and perform comparisons among various comparable companiesAbility to learn and perform business and derivative valuations using option pricing models and Monte Carlo analysisPossess and apply analytical, communication, and business writing skills as it relates to individual client assignmentsExtensive research and report writingSkillsBachelor's degree required1 year of experience in related fieldMust be able to work in a team environmentPresentation skills mandatoryMust possess analytical skillsProficient use of applicable technologyDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externallyMust be able to travel based on client and business needsA degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and experience in valuation or consulting a plusASA, CFA, CPA or other relevant certification or progress towards one of these certifications is desired but not requiredTravel may be requiredProficient computer ability relative to the constructing of complex formulas and macrosCompany OverviewCBIZ through its subsidiaries, provides professional business services primarily to small and medium-sized businesses, individuals, It was founded in 1987, and is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, with a workforce of 10001+ employees.
