Associate Business Compliance Specialist (Hybrid)

The Associate Business Compliance Specialist will manage compliance processes, conduct investigations, and support internal controls while collaborating with various business partners across the enterprise.ResponsibilitiesResearches and conducts investigations to coordinate written complaint responses for complainants, insurance departments and other regulatory agenciesProactively identifies underlying issues and/or trends that may present additional risk or impact to corporate mission, vision and values by acting as a liaison with business partnersResponsible for investigating non-complex fraud allegationsEvaluates internal control reports proposes changes or updates to policies and procedures accordinglySupports internal control unit/audit to actively recognizes potential opportunities or issues and make recommendations to remediate potential issues to mitigate risksHandles non-complex DOI reportingOversees record retention schedules and business continuity plans for teamWorks business partners to develop and maintain processes and procedures to facilitate the timely and accurate execution of all types of new state expansion or product, service or sales enhancements or regulatory/legislative changesDevelops knowledge to serve as resource for best practices and current system functionality as well as provide guidance and advice for enhancements or changes, especially where forms are affectedServes as a liaison and committee member to various groups charged with directing and designing system edits, workflows and various processes and procedures necessary to effectively run our businessSkillsDemonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or serviceBasic knowledge and understanding of insurance principlesDemonstrated experience communicating both verbally and in writing with people of diverse cultures, education, and backgroundsDemonstrated experience in effective professional business writingDemonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications and other advanced workflow toolsBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, vision and wellbeing benefitsCompetitive 401(k) contributionPension planAnnual incentive9 paid holidaysPaid time off program (23 days accrued annually for full-time employees)Student loan repayment programPaid-family leaveCompany OverviewFor more than 90 years, American Family Insurance has built its reputation on sound principles.
