Associate Attorney – Employment

Goodspeed Merrill is a fast-growing, collaborative law firm with a dynamic Employment Law Practice Group. They are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their team, primarily focusing on advising clients on employment law compliance and supporting litigation matters. The role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of employment law issues in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Advise & Consult: Provide clients with guidance on employment law compliance, best practices, and pre-litigation severance reviews Draft & Negotiate: Prepare, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, severance packages, and workplace policies Compliance Leadership: Collaborate on high-demand projects involving employee handbook reviews, implementation, and regular updates Corporate Support: Assist with corporate due diligence for mergers and acquisitions Litigation Support: Provide critical support on litigation matters, including research, pleadings, discovery, and motion practice, and participate in mediations, hearings, and meetings Investigations: Participate in and conduct workplace investigations and employment audits Research: Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on evolving employment law issues Collaboration: Collaborate with attorneys across the practice groups to handle complex client matters Skills 0–5 years of experience practicing employment law Juris Doctor from an accredited university Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado required Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent communication and client service abilities Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage deadlines independently Sharp attention to detail Litigation experience is not required, but a proactive mindset is essential Benefits Quarterly Bonus Potential - from 3% to 16% of total realized revenue with no billable hour requirements.
