Associate Attorney
Salary: $65,000 - $120,000 annually

• Supportaseniorattorney'scaseloadorindependentlycarry25-35clientsfacingDUIandrelatedcriminalcharges
• Workcloselywithalegalassistanttoensureeffectiveclientcare
• Interpretlawforclientsandhelpthemunderstandtheirlegaloptions
• Developcasestrategiesandsolutionsthatmeettheneedsoftheclients
• Representclientsatarraignments,hearings,andtrials
• Litigateadministrativehearingstocontestdrivingprivilegesuspensions
• Negotiatewithprosecutorstoachievethebestpossibleoutcomes
• Conductlegalresearch,draftmotions,andpresentargumentstothecourt
• ParticipateintrainingtostayupdatedonchangesandnewdevelopmentsintheDUIfield
• Performotherrelateddutiesasrequiredandassigned
Qualifications
• J.D.fromanABAaccreditedlawschool
• Licensed and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar or a Supervised Practice Portfolio Examination
(SPPE) candidate
• SomeexperienceinOregoncriminallawpracticepreferred
• FamiliaritywithDUIIdefenseandfelonycasespreferred
• Somejurytrialexperiencepreferred
• AbilitytodevelopworkingknowledgeofOregonscriminalcode,caselaw,DMVlicenseconsequencesforcriminalandnon-criminalactions
• Workingknowledge(orabilitytodevelopworkingknowledge)ofatleastonemetro-area/Eugeneareacircuitcourt
• Spanishfluencystronglypreferred
Compensation&Benefits:
• The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $120,000 depending upon experience, plus bonus
