Associate Asset Manager

Scout Clean Energy is focused on creating a cleaner power supply and is seeking an Associate Asset Manager to join their renewable energy Asset Management team. The role involves managing third-party agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering financial reports to maximize the profitability of renewable energy facilities.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with senior Asset Managers to manage third party agreements (e.g. Power Purchase Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, Land Lease obligations), ensuring continuity in relationships and drive process improvement that promotes the integrity and effectiveness of our operationsTrack activities in connection with environmental monitoring and compliance at project sites, responding to events as they occur and administering plans written by third partiesCreate, improve, and deliver effective monthly reports about the portfolio's performance monitoring financial performance, plant availability, regulatory and environmental compliance, and safetyAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports monitoring variances and identifying trends in budget to actualsDevelop and maintain a compliance calendar that identifies all regular compliance deadlines for operating projectsReview and develop the response to all inquiries from government, permitting, and regulatory agencies, including the ISOs/RTOs, NERC, and FERCEnsure proper submission of all responses to compliance-related issues in a timely mannerCoordinate with colleagues to ensure vendor management and procurement processes are followed in Oracle for internal compliance policiesSupport insurance claims that arise by providing the information necessary to ensure fulfillmentTrack project compliance with all warranty requirements with third party equipment suppliersTrack all warranty claims and payments to ensure appropriate resolution of issuesDeliver timely responses and insight to the Project Operations, Accounting, and Engineering and Procurement teams to inform decision makingContribute to special projects upon requestSkillsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution1-3 years of work experience in the renewable energy industryAdvanced knowledge in Excel (e.g., PivotTable), SQL a plusDemonstrated ability to thrive while working in ambiguous situations, including the ability to create processes where there is none and to repeat it periodically on an as-needed basisAbility to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations and risk/benefit tradeoffs, both in written, verbal, and presentation format, to the Asset Management team and to senior managementStrong verbal and written communication skillsDynamic interpersonal skills with the ability to use influence rather than authority to achieve desired outcomesHigh attention to detail and the ability to work proactively and productively without direct supervisionAbility to multi-task and arbitrate between conflicting priorities with clear target setting and follow-through capability in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to travel as needed (minimal travel anticipated)Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipBenefitsMedical/dental/vision insurance with attractive premiums401(k) matchSTDLTDEmployee Assistance ProgramA range of optional supplemental insurance coverageCompany OverviewScout Clean Energy is a renewable energy company that operates and develops wind, solar, and renewable power projects.
