About the position

The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting plays a crucial role in analyzing and forecasting financial, economic, and other data to support strategic and operational decisions within the organization. This position involves establishing metrics, conducting data analyses, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and address business needs. The Associate Actuary evaluates industry trends to forecast the organization's financial position and influences departmental strategy while working on moderately complex to complex issues with considerable autonomy.

Responsibilities
• Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data to provide timely information for decision-making.

• Establish metrics and conduct data analyses to support business intelligence.
,
• Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's financial position.
,
• Ensure data integrity by developing and executing processes and controls around data flow.
,
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and troubleshoot data issues.
,
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop cost-effective resolutions for data anomalies.
,
• Influence departmental strategy and make decisions on technical approaches for project components.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree
,
• Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
,
• Meets eligibility requirements for Humana's Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP)
,
• MAAA
,
• Strong communication skills
,
• Successful completion of at least 3 actuarial exams
,
• Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Nice-to-haves
• Proficiency in SQL
,
• Experience with Python, PowerApps, ASA, Databricks
,
• Knowledge of the Medicare Bid process
