Associate, Actuarial Applications

The Associate, Actuarial Applications will support technology initiatives and be responsible for applications across Actuarial teams, focusing on optimizing applications and automating processes using a cloud-first technology stack.ResponsibilitiesImplement strategic and tactical initiatives related to, Python development, cloud computing (AWS and Azure), and applications developmentOperate in an agile development environment, applying DevOps principlesUnderstand current state data pipelines/processes and contribute to future state optimizationIngest and analyze new/existing data sets and implement end-to-end processingTest and debug applicationsSkillsBachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering or similar fieldExperience with dashboarding systems (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)Minimum experience of one year in programming (Python, Julia and/or R) and SQLExperience in building cloud-based data solutions in AWSAbility to collaborate on projects and work independently when requiredExcellent analytical, problem solving and conceptual skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDomain knowledge of insurance or reinsurancePrior knowledge and experience in the fintech, investment banking or insurance industryBenefitsAnnual bonus based on company and individual performanceGenerous benefits packageCompany OverviewFortitude Re is a reinsurance company that specializes in executing bespoke transactional solutions.
