We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to instruct and develop courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the Forensic Science Program at Pennsylvania State University. About the Forensic Science Program

The Forensic Science Program at Pennsylvania State University offers both undergraduate and graduate (MPS) degrees, as well as a range of resident instruction and distance learning offerings. Our program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of forensic science, including the scientific principles, methods, and techniques used in the analysis of evidence. Our faculty are renowned experts in their fields, and our program is accredited by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB).

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and instruct courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the Forensic Science Program
Create and implement engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments
Provide guidance and mentorship to students, including advising and supervising research projects
Collaborate with colleagues and other university departments to develop and implement curriculum
Participate in program development, accreditation, and assessment
Establish and maintain relationships with law enforcement and crime laboratory professionals
Contribute to the development of research projects and grants


Essential Qualifications:


Master's degree in Forensic Science, Criminalistics, or other physical/natural science
Demonstrated capacity for teaching and excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working in a criminalistics/forensic science laboratory (private or government)
Strong foundation in the holistic approach to forensic science


Preferred Qualifications:


Ph.D. in Forensic Science, Criminalistics, or other physical/natural science
Experience with curriculum development and program assessment
Strong network of contacts in law enforcement and crime laboratory professionals
Experience with grant writing and research project development
