Job Summary

We are seeking qualified candidates for multiple full-time, in-residence, academic year (36 week), non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor positions. As an Assistant Teaching Professor, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our undergraduate students, instructing six sections of BBH course offerings per year, and contributing to departmental service. You will have the opportunity to engage with our interdisciplinary curriculum, collaborate with colleagues, and participate in departmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


Teach six sections of BBH course offerings per year, including lecture and laboratory courses
Develop and implement engaging and effective instructional strategies to promote student learning and success
Contribute to departmental service, including curriculum development, advising, and committee work
Collaborate with colleagues to advance departmental initiatives and research projects
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and research


Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:


Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Biobehavioral Health or a related field, including psychology, neuroscience, biological sciences, or public health
Instructional experience in areas related to BBH, with a strong track record of teaching and mentoring students
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and audiences, with evidence of previous work and life experiences
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and students


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with curriculum development and implementation
Involvement in research projects related to Biobehavioral Health
Familiarity with pedagogical best practices and innovative instructional strategies
Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences
