Design and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in literature and creative writing.
Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters a love for the English language and creative expression among students.
Provide mentorship and support to students in their writing and academic pursuits.
Engage in scholarly research and publication in the fields of literature and creative writing.
Participate in departmental and university committees and events.
Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve and innovate the English and creative writing programs.
Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of English and creative writing.
Maintain regular office hours and provide academic advising to students.
Evaluate and grade student work, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
Assist in the recruitment and retention of students for the English and creative writing programs.
Foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment for students of all backgrounds.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and research skills.
Serve as a positive and professional representative of the university to the community and beyond.
Contribute to the university's service mission through involvement in community outreach and engagement activities.
