Role Snapshot: Position: Assistant Professor for Operations Management, JWMI, Part-time - Online Company: Strayer University Location: Remote (USA) Start Date: Immediate openings available Compensation: Competitive salary Key Responsibilities: As an Assistant Professor for Operations Management at JWMI, you will be responsible for: Coaching and instructing adult learners in an online environment, leveraging your professional experience and expertise to drive student success Moderating online discussion forums and providing effective feedback on student coursework submissions using JWMI grading rubrics Developing and refining curriculum to ensure high-quality education and academic excellence Creating engaging content, including short videos to introduce new topics each week Facilitating virtual Q&A sessions and help sessions on course assignments Evaluating and providing feedback on student coursework Maintaining accurate records of student progress and smooth course operations Adhering to policies and procedures, and ensuring student success Teaching quantitative courses as needed Essential Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must have: A minimum of 7-10 years of senior-level management/leadership/operations management experience in a related field Two or more of the following industry experiences/knowledge: Supply Chain Management Operations Management Quality Management (including quality assurance and control) Industrial Engineering Product Development Operational Excellence Professional certification in Operations and Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Lean, and/or Six Sigma (preferred) Familiarity with industry practices, including: Operations and resource planning Capacity planning and analysis Customer demand management (including forecasting and inventory management) Supply chain management Operational excellence A deep understanding and appreciation for Jack Welch's management philosophy The ability to coach and instruct adult learners in an online environment Experience with adopting new technology and tools The ability to perform occasional synchronous work with students Education and Certifications: All degrees must be conferred and from an accredited institution to be considered.
