About the position NOTE: This position is located at Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week. We don’t just sell cutting‑edge fashion and accessories — we create them. Our talented fashion design team, the Nordstrom Product Group (NPG), develops, designs, produces, and sources all Nordstrom‑brand products. As an Assistant Designer, you’ll contribute to the success of your design team by providing support as directed by your Designer and other team members – this may include, but is not limited to researching trends, sketching and developing design concepts, preparing tech packs, and assisting with fabric and trim selection. You help organize and evaluate samples, provide fit and construction feedback, and collaborate closely with merchandising, production, and technical design to ensure each style aligns with Nordstrom’s brand standards. With strong design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines, you’ll contribute meaningfully to creating trend‑right, high‑quality apparel.
