OVERVIEW
Based in San Francisco, Jackson Square Properties (JSP) is a private equity real estate investment firm specializing in multifamily properties. The company has grown to over seventy-five communities, totaling over 19,000 units in six states. JSP focuses on the acquisition and management of large apartment complexes nationally. As a small and entrepreneurial company, JSP will offer candidates the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of portfolio management. OBJECTIVES
The primary function of the Asset Manager is to assist with all aspects of the administrative, financial, capital, and operational functions of the assigned portfolio. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is dynamic, and the role changes as the business and macroeconomic conditions evolve. In general, the position is responsible for the following.
• Oversee third-party property managers and portfolios.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time in the central/mountain and western United States.
• Propose goals and objectives for each property.
• Assist in the preparation and approval process of property operating budgets.
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of the portfolio.
• Oversee the design and implementation of the Capital and Renovation plans for each region in conjunction with the in-house Construction Manager.
• Work with lenders to coordinate escrow draws, completion repairs, benchmarking, and required forms.
• Monthly review of operating statements.
• Assist in the due diligence and underwriting of potential acquisitions.
• Financial analysis, market studies, and industry standard reporting (i.e., variance reporting, discounted cash flows, IRRs, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment that requires strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Strong independent work skills with the ability and tact to follow direction as given.

This position will come into contact with senior management, vendors, etc. Diplomacy, tact, and a helpful, positive, professional presentation and attitude are required. The correct individual will be self-motivated to fill downtime with learning about the existing portfolio; they will have a high level of integrity with both their time and their mannerisms; and they will have a personality that thrives in an unstructured environment that provides a variety of opportunities and responsibilities. Finally, the proper candidate must be able to listen and grow in a fast-paced environment. TRAINING & EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in business, finance, accounting and/or real estate. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Five to seven years of senior property management, asset management or Multifamily Real Estate experience required COMPENSATION
