Location: Fresno, CA Employment Type: Full-Time | Local W-2 or Travel Contract Options Pay Range: $18–$26/hour (based on experience and employment path) Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced ASL Paraprofessional to support a partnering school district in the Fresno, California area. This full-time position is open to both local candidates seeking a consistent school-year role and traveling professionals interested in flexible, rewarding assignments. Position Overview: In this role, you’ll work closely with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, supporting their educational, communication, and social needs. You will collaborate with teachers, interpreters, and support staff to provide direct classroom assistance, reinforce learning, and ensure students receive accessible, inclusive instruction. Employment Options: 1. Local Path (W-2 through Blazer Jobs): • Full school-year assignment (August–May/June) • Weekly pay: $18–$22/hour, based on experience and credentials • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision • 401(k) with employer match • Professional development reimbursement • Consistent district placement with support from Blazer Jobs' education team 2. Travel Path (W-2 with Perks or 1099): • Flexible contract lengths (4–12 weeks or semester-based) • Weekly pay: $22–$26/hour, depending on travel status and experience • Weekly gross: $1,000–$1,200+, including tax-free stipends if eligible • Housing assistance, per diem, and travel reimbursements available • Credentialing and licensure support provided • Ideal for professionals seeking short-term flexibility with competitive pay Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct classroom support to students using American Sign Language (ASL) • Assist teachers in delivering accessible lessons and reinforcing instruction • Support communication between students, peers, and staff • Help implement accommodations as outlined in IEPs and 504 plans • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or higher preferred) • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required • Prior experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students preferred • Previous school-based experience strongly desired • Must pass fingerprint and background checks Why Fresno, CA?
