AS400 Synon Developer(Hybrid)
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IT Service Management Synon DB2/400 and CLP with a strong background in Pharmacy Benefit Management. This role involves developing and maintaining software solutions that enhance our services and contribute to our mission of improving healthcare outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software applications using Synon DB2/400 and CLP to meet business requirements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications to ensure smooth operation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new software features.
Implement IT Service Management best practices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our software solutions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design development testing and deployment.
Create and maintain technical documentation for software applications and processes.
Ensure software solutions are scalable secure and optimized for performance.
Work closely with the Pharmacy Benefit Management team to understand domain-specific requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our software offerings.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers as needed.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure software solutions align with business goals and objectives.
Contribute to the overall success of the team by actively participating in team meetings and discussions.
Required Qualifications
Around 4 to 6 years' experience in DB2/AS400, RPG and SYNON and be able to provide Technical Support for the application
Troubleshooting experience ( Production Support , resolving incidents ) and Analytical skills.
Experienced in Service Now and Monitoring tools.
Scheduling and Monitoring Batch jobs.
Work in 24/7 support model
Experience in collaboration with stakeholders, cross functional teams (Users and Development team)
Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Contribute to the overall success of the team

Salary and Other Compensation:

The compensation for this position is between $58,000 - $65,500 annually, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
