Articles about Japan news and travel (Japanese [日本語] ability REQUIRED)
NOTE - This is an ongoing job soliciting potential multiple authors.
Unseen-Japan.com is a site devoted to teaching people about "the Japan you don't learn about in anime". We write about culture, history, the Japanese language, and social justice issues (indigenous issues, women's rights, the LGBTQ movement, etc.). We also extensively cover travel, as tourism is now a big part of our ongoing revenue stream.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write articles from 750-1,000 words related to news coming out of Japan. You will be part of our Discord server and will be able to propose assignments as well as take recommended assignments from myself.

Articles should have reference to original Japanese sources; ideally, if a key passage exists in the original article that you find interesting, I'd want you to include it along with an English translation.
Excellent English skills and a high level of Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2 or equivalent, or native language ability) are required. AI translation use is allowed for assistance but must be edited, rewritten, and staked on your reputation. AI is not allowed for English authoring.
