Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Art Director to join our Editorial Department. Reporting to the Creative Director, Editorial Content, you will be a part of a tight-knit team responsible for finding creative ways to implement an aspirational editorial look and feel that excels across both print and digital formats.
Key Accountabilities:
• You will manage catalogs from mockups through final press-ready files.
• You will work on everything from big-picture concepts to production tasks, including designing attention-grabbing layouts, client changes, image research, and light retouching, marking up images for retouching, and maintaining a digital library.
• You will ensure service ads follow brand guidelines, event style guides, and fulfill the creative brief.
• You will build presentation decks and update throughout the process.
• You will provide support for Production Designers.
Qualifications
• 2 years minimum experience
• Bachelors in Advertising, Marketing, Arts or related field required; in lieu of degree, equivalent experience in a relevant field required
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of production best practices
• Editorial and catalog design background
• Experience concepting photoshoots (food/lifestyle/retail categories)
• You can work remotely but must be willing to work Pacific Time.
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is ($59,000 - $96,025). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
