What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review existing online course content and prepare for each class
- Follow the syllabus and course outline provided
- Communicate with students through the online learning system
- Check-in and post to the class six days a week, providing a schedule in the first module
- Respond to student questions and concerns within 24 hours
- Evaluate and grade student work
- Provide assignment feedback within 3 business days
- Participate in class discussions as outlined in the course
- Complete and submit progress grades, mid-term, and final grades
- Perform additional instructor duties as assigned by the Department Director
- Participate in University training and work with a training coach during the first semester
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Positive attitude and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in a related field
- Knowledge of PCs and Macs, as well as relevant software programs and tools
- BFA or MFA preferred, master's degree required for teaching graduate level courses
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior teaching experience
- Expertise in one of the offered disciplines
- Portfolio of work showcasing relevant skills and experience
