They are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Architectural & Building Technologist to work alongside their team on building projects, focusing on code compliance and site reviews.ResponsibilitiesBuild Code review of drawings, shop drawings, etcPrepare Code compliance drawings, reports, letters, alternative solutions, etcConduct site reviews and prepare field review reportsAttend meetings, presentations, occupancy demonstrations, etcSkillsA graduated Technician or Technologist with educational focus in Architectural and Building Technologies (experience in Civil, Mechanical and Structural disciplines is an asset)Experience using Bluebeam, Adobe, AutoCAD LT, Sketchup, Excel, Word, etcKnowledge of Parts 3 and/or 9 of the Building CodeAbility to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing)Ability to read and interpret building design drawings (drafting skills are an asset)Team oriented and able to work individuallyHold a valid BC Driver's LicenseMust be able to commute and work in person on a hybrid schedule in our Vancouver officeMust be able to travel to different regions within the British Colombia, and across CanadaBenefitsFlexible work environment allows employees to work remotely, when neededMedical, Dental, and Vision BenefitsCompany OverviewJ.S.
