As an Architect, you will collaborate with the design team to develop architectural solutions, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and aesthetic requirements while coordinating across all project phases.ResponsibilitiesCompiles information from reports and published documents; evaluates and analyzes the information to understand broad requirements of projectDevelops architectural designs, to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirementsCoordinates design intent with other disciplinesIntegrates engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirementsPrepares design reports, drawings and models following office standardsPerforms site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifies any deviations and liaises with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely mannerReviews project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controlsSkillsExperience in all phases of the project cycle is requiredArchitectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design softwareFamiliarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is requiredHave successfully completed related post-secondary education0-5 years of project work experienceRegistered with a relevant professional architectural association is an assetExperience in Education projects is an assetBenefitsMedical, dental, vision and life insuranceShort and long-term disability insurance401(k)-retirement savings plan with employer contributionsWellness and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) programsCompany OverviewNORR is a fully integrated architecture, planning, and interior design firm.
