Course Description:
Presentation and discussion of a contemporary theme in health sciences.
Black Health in Canada: Use of an intersectional, population health approach to explore health disparities present in Black Canadian communities. Applications of race/ethnicity demographic data to the development of healthcare policies.
Prerequisite: 54 university credits.

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in health sciences or equivalent.
University-level teaching
Health research experience
Priority will be given to applicants with training or demonstrated health research in the course topic area: Population health theory and methodologies. Intersectionality theories and frameworks. Availability, collection and analysis of population health-related data. Policy analysis and interpretation of healthcare screening guidelines and recommendations. Applicants must include a personal declaration statement regarding lived experience as related to course topic 2021.
