Applied AI Scientist Intern (North America - University Students)

The Applied AI Scientist Intern will develop advanced algorithms and execute statistical techniques on large datasets to drive the development of AI products within the Max.AI platform. Responsibilities Develop advanced algorithms that solve problems of large dimensionality in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner Execute statistical and data mining techniques (e.g. hypothesis testing, machine learning and retrieval processes) on large data sets to identify trends, figures and other relevant information Evaluate emerging datasets and technologies for our analytical platform Owning the development of select assets/accelerators for efficient scaling of capability Contributing to the thought leadership of the firm by helping in researching the evolving topics and publishing them Skills Candidates should be pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field with strong academic performance in analytic and quantitative coursework Interest and experience in GenAI and Machine Learning Knowledge of programming - Python (Deep Expertise), Pyspark Experience in engineering features from a variety of data sources Experience in ML platforms like Dataiku, Sagemaker, MLFlow or other platforms Knowledge of big data/advanced analytics concepts and algorithms (e.g. text mining, social listening, recommender systems, predictive modeling, etc.) Expertise in developing one or more class of machine learning algorithms (time series, classification, regression, etc. - preferably in a product environment) Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong attention to detail, with a research-focused mindset Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills High motivation, good work ethic and maturity Benefits Health and well-being Financial planning Annual leave Personal growth and professional development Robust skills development programs Multiple career progression options Internal mobility paths Flexible and connected way of working Company Overview ZS is a management consulting and technology firm that partners with companies to improve life and how we live it.
