They are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support critical transportation systems used across North Carolina, providing hands-on experience with enterprise applications and real-world system operations.ResponsibilitiesHelp configure and prepare application environments for deployments and routine updatesAssist with troubleshooting by reviewing logs, gathering details, and escalating issues to technical teamsSupport release and patch processes by running checklists, performing basic tests, and confirming successful deploymentsContribute to automation efforts through scripting and repeatable operational tasksMonitor system health, track key metrics, and report potential issuesMaintain system change documentation, diagrams, and wiki articles to support team operationsParticipate in meetings, support compliance documentation, and help coordinate change requestsSkillsBachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institutionOR Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or developmentOR High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC)Knowledge of Agile & SCRUM processesKnowledge of enterprise systemsCompany OverviewThe N.C.
