This role is responsible for defining the future-state integration strategy, assessing current-state application landscapes, identifying integration dependencies and risks, and developing actionable architectural deliverables to support integration execution planning. This individual is expected to • Operate independently while collaborating across engagement team • Provide structured, hypothesis-driven analysis • Develop executive-ready deliverables • Support decision-making with project and client stakeholders • Align integration strategy to business objectives and program constraints • Key Responsibilities • Current-State Assessment • Assess the existing application ecosystem, integration patterns, middleware, APIs, and data flows via discovery workshops and documentation review • Document integration points, dependencies, technical debt, and platform constraints • Identify redundancies, overlapping capabilities, and high-risk interfaces • Future-State Integration Architecture • Define target-state application integration architecture aligned to business strategy • Recommend integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, batch, real-time, hybrid) • Define principles for interoperability, scalability, security, and resilience • Evaluate and recommend middleware and API management strategies • Architecture Planning Across Three Domains In coordination with other architecture leads (e.g., solution and data integrations), ensure alignment across the three architecture types including: • Application architecture alignment • Supporting the Solution Integration and data integration architecture blueprinting exercise • Cross-domain dependency mapping and inputs to implementation roadmap • Deliverable Development The following describes a list of sample primary deliverables for this role: – Target Application Integration Architecture (systems & interfaces) – Transitional integration designs (30/60/90 days interval as an example) – Application Interface rationalization & simplification plan – Application integration dependency map & roadmap – Execution-ready integration backlog (e.g., integration items, business context, technical pattern) • Program & Stakeholder Engagement • Facilitate technical discovery workshops and working sessions • Provide clear trade-off analysis (cost, risk, complexity, timeline) • Collaborate with other team members to ensure cohesion • Required Qualifications • *Experience** 8 to 10 years in application and integration architectures Experience in large-scale IT integration for Mergers & acquisition planning program – healthcare industry ( • *preferred** ) • Deep understanding of healthcare data and medical recording document processing and integration experience (bonus) • Proven experience delivering architecture planning engagements within defined timelines • Experience working as a consultant or in advisory roles • *Technical Expertise** • Enterprise integration patterns, API architectures and middleware • Microservices and service-oriented architecture • Understanding of Data integration and system interoperability • Cloud-native integration approaches • Security architecture considerations for integrations • *Soft Skills** • Consultative communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills • Workshop facilitation • Cross-functional collaboration • Stakeholder influence without direct authority • Clear documentation and visualization skills
