Your role involves building technologies to detect malicious or insolvent merchants before they harm Mollie or our customers. It's crucial for Mollie to stay profitable and compliant with regulations like anti-money laundering. You'll work in a cross-functional team with Engineers, Data and ML specialists, enhancing existing tools and developing new ones using monitoring algorithms based on streaming and machine learning.What you will be doing:Building solid foundations for our Java ecosystemHelping us to build large-scale services in JavaWorking closely with engineers and product to build features at a large scaleDesigning, developing, and maintaining APIs, services and systems across Mollie’s engineering teamsEvaluating & solving complex problems across the stackPutting your skills to the test and allowing yourself to grow and learn rapidlyWhat you'll bringA minimum of 5 years experience in developing large-scale web applicationsStrong knowledge of Java is a must; other languages (like PHP, Go, Python) are a plusYou know all about Service Oriented Architecture patternsSome professional grasp of working with the public cloud (either GCP, AWS or Azure)You have a background of building scalable systems around data-intensive applicationsCreative problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and you've worked effectively with different stakeholdersNice to haves:You have previously worked in a fast-paced environmentPrevious knowledge of Google Cloud PlatformYou like ML and experimented with itYou know about event streaming and distributed systemsYou have migrated services between microservices and monoliths and understanding the practical tradeoffs of one architecture versus the otherYou have previously worked within the Payments or FinTech sectorKindly note that relocation support is not offered for candidates outside of Europe for this role.Pleaseby sending over your CV in English.
