The Application Developer I role involves providing application development support to enhance business processes, including developing and maintaining software applications, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with analysts and team members.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, modify, and maintain application software to support both the internal and external business processesMeets with analysts and project leaders to understand requirements and timelinesMaintain existing code under close guidance from teamPerform unit testing on programming changesDocument program revisionsDevelop application and training documentation for software that is clear, succinct, accurate, and appropriately detailedAssist in the creation or maintenance of application installation and troubleshooting guides for programs designed/developedTroubleshoot day-to-day application issues and provide debugging support as neededTest and identify best solutions and create solution documentsProvide support as needed in case of outages, job failures, implementations, etcWith guidance from systems analysts and potentially other developers, can understand and translate system requirements/technical specifications in the development processUnderstands functional business requirements and deliverables for assigned workBreaks down work into simple tasks, thinks through technical implementationAssists in formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify basic applicationsMay be asked to participate in project teams along with business analysts and end-usersMay work with other developers on code related tasksFrequently communicates with the business/system analysts/other developers in the development process to discuss the system specifications and gain a better understanding of the business processesParticipate in meetings with business personnel who work in another area of the companyInvolved in technical discussions with other developersCommunicates issues with team membersDoes not hesitate to work directly with others; communicates any roadblocks they encounter with team members; does not hesitate to voice concernsSkills0-2 years of relevant work experience required2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience requiredUnderstands the technical difference between platforms, libraries, versioning, data systems, operating systems, system communication, and environments; understands common programming terminology is required4 Year / Bachelor Degree preferredBenefitsHealth & Family SupportFinancial SecurityLearning & DevelopmentRewards & RecognitionWellbeing & Mental HealthWork-Life BalanceFun PerksCompany OverviewGreenheck Group manufactures commercial air movement, control, and conditioning equipment.
