API Automation Tester
You will own the quality assurance lifecycle for our APIs.
Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and stress API scenarios.
• Write automated test scripts using API testing tools and programming languages to interact with APIs.
• Execute automated API tests across development, staging, and production environments, monitoring results.
• Identify, document, and report defects with detailed reproduction steps to development teams.
• Conduct performance and security assessments on APIs to check response times and vulnerabilities.
• Integrate automated API tests into the CI/CD pipeline and analyze test reports for quality insights.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of professional experience in API testing automation.
• Expertise in scripting using Python and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services, HTTP, and JSON protocols.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG.
• Proficiency with API testing tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with Java programming language.
• Understanding of database concepts for data validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
