Android Developer Needed – Offline GPS Navigation & Safety App

Description

I am looking for an experienced Android developer to build the first version of an outdoor safety app called Lost-in-the-Woods Retrace.

The app records a user’s movement outdoors and allows them to retrace their path safely using a breadcrumb trail and compass guidance. The application must work offline and include an SOS safety system.

A full specification package, flow diagrams, UI mockups, and project documentation are already prepared.

Core Features to Build

GPS Tracking

record breadcrumb trail using GPS

store coordinates locally

track distance from starting point

Navigation

retrace arrow guidance using breadcrumb points

compass heading

deviation warning if user leaves path

Location Tools

mark start location

mark car, camp, or custom points

return to marked point

Safety System

SOS alert with last known coordinates

send SOS to up to 3 emergency contacts

include breadcrumb path in message

prepare SOS when battery reaches 10%

prompt SOS at 5%

Offline Operation

The core navigation system must work without cellular signal.
