Android Developer

We are hiring for this position on behalf of our client About the Role We are looking for a skilled and passionate Android Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. You will work closely with the team to build scalable, efficient, and user-friendly apps while continuously exploring new technologies to improve development practices. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin. - Work with RESTful APIs and implement MVVM architecture. - Collaborate with the team to integrate features and improve app performance. - Conduct R&D and build proof-of-concepts (PoC) when needed. - Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver effective solutions. - Ensure code quality through reviews and adherence to best practices. - Stay updated with the latest Android frameworks, tools, and version updates. Requirements - Strong experience with Git (clone, pull, rebase, PR/MR on GitHub). - Hands-on experience with Android Kotlin frameworks. - Solid understanding of Android OS and app lifecycle (e.g., companion objects, activity task stack). - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and MVVM architecture. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new frameworks and concepts. - Knowledge of Android Accessibility Services (e.g., rootInActiveWindow, performAction, onAccessibilityEvent). - Understanding of Kotlin Coroutines (basic delay). - Self-driven, resourceful, and able to work independently on R&D/PoC tasks. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good at English Nice to have: - Able to speak Mandarin is a plus About the company Qode is dedicated to helping technical talent around the world find meaningful careers that match their skills and interests.
