Analyst, Subscriber Forecasting & Strategy

The Analyst in Subscriber Forecasting & Strategy will be responsible for developing insights on subscriber growth metrics and contributing to long-term growth strategies for Peacock's subscriber base.ResponsibilitiesBecome an expert on Peacock’s first-party growth metrics data and existing data infrastructure underlying itWrite SQL queries to generate first-party data sets that are tailor-made for feeding Excel-based forecasting modelsBecome an expert on the operation of existing forecasting models, with the goal of being able to independently tweak assumptions and generate scenario outputs for various stakeholder teamsAnalyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to produce clear, actionable insights and recommendations, communicating findings through concise data-driven narratives for business stakeholdersWork closely with the rest of forecasting team members who are operating and improving forecast models, developing a sufficient understanding of the models’ structures to be able to support those functions at times as neededBuild clean, executive-friendly PowerPoint slides explaining trends in Peacock subscriber growth, both for recurring reporting and more one-off ad-hoc needsPartner with a highly collaborative analytics team to deliver insights that drive data‑informed decisions across the NBCU Media GroupHelp contribute to an equitable and inclusive work cultureSkillsBachelor's degree in relevant quantitative field (e.g. Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other)Familiarity with subscription business KPIs and metrics (TV& streaming subscription metrics is a plus)Strong Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPointWorking knowledge of Python & DatabricksProficient in maintaining meticulous records, documenting procedures, and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work, reflecting exceptional attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills (experience presenting to senior executive audiences preferred)Experience in data-visualization toolsExperience working at a subscription business analyzing subscriber data setsExperience with statistical modeling and/or advanced data science techniquesBenefitsMedical, dental and vision insurance401(k)Paid leaveTuition reimbursementA variety of other discounts and perksCompany OverviewNBCUniversal is a media company that provides entertainment and news development, production, distribution, and marketing services.
