The Analyst will support financial modeling, asset management, and transactions primarily for West Coast assets, contributing to the strategic decision-making process within the organization.ResponsibilitiesProvide financial analysis and support for asset-level decision-making and transactionsConduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and reporting across the regionโs portfolio, delivering forward-thinking analysis to support decision-making and strategyConduct and/or support analysis for evaluation of leasing opportunities, capital projects, and tenant creditDevelop and present findings for Senior Management and Portfolio Managers as requiredDraft investment committee memorandums for leasing and dispositions as neededAssist with acquisitions and dispositions when applicablePlay an integral role in identifying market trends and extracting insights for the regional portfolio, contributing to market commentary produced by Asset ManagersPresent and review with Senior Management and Portfolio Managers as requiredReview and validate Yardi monthly financials/operating statements and variance reportsUnderstand cash flow requirements and distribution analysisSupport ongoing loan compliance and credit/security monitoring activitiesSupport asset-level business plans and valuation modelsSupport Asset Manager coordination, production, and presentation of annual business plans to Senior Management and Portfolio ManagersBuild and maintain quarterly Argus models and support hold vs. sell analyses conducted by regional Asset ManagersUndertake model audits, quality assurance reviews, and support standard processes complianceCoordinate appraisal review and commentary by regional Asset Managers and conduct variance analysis to external appraisalsSupport Asset Manager in oversight of leasing, property management, and capital projectsHandle the collaboration with leasing brokers, including the review of LOIs and preparation of financials analysis to support leasing recommendationsReview and selectively audit asset-level financial reporting submitted from Property Managers, including capital commitment forecasts, expense recovery calculations, and funding projectionsOversee timeliness of Yardi financial and accounting information submitted from Property ManagersReview quarterly re-forecast packages compiled by property managementSupport special projects and conduct ad-hoc analyses as requiredWork with MIM business leaders to communicate efficiently both internally and externallySkillsUndergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Real Estate from top academic institution requiredMinimum of 0-2 years of validated experience preferably from one of the top capital markets brokerage firms or other institutional real estate organizations.
