As an Analyst in Health and Benefits Consulting, you will support the Renewals team by analyzing plan data, preparing renewal reports, and collaborating with consultants to ensure clients receive effective support.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct day-to-day problem solving support for clients in relation to their group benefits programsPerform data entry to support quarterly and annual financial analysis for a broad range of clients in a variety of industry sectorsConduct renewal analyses, negotiate fees and rates with carriers – in alignment with department strategyPrepare client ready renewal reports in PowerPointReview insurance contracts and financial statementsSupport the consultants in managing projects, conducting or directing research, and drawing meaningful conclusions from client and market dataGain insight and build knowledge of our organization, its services, people and purposeData review, assumption setting, and report writing for actuarial valuations (actuarial track only)Handle confidential information and data – adhering to HUB’s privacy and confidentiality agreementSkillsPost-secondary degrees in Commerce, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or Human Resources1-2 years of professional experience as an analyst or in a corporate setting, with employee benefits experience being a valuable assetAdvanced Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExcellent communication, project management, and collaboration skillsExperience working in a high-paced, growth environmentCompletion of courses related to Group Benefits (e.g. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist – CEBS, insurance license, and actuarial designation) are not required, but would be an assetLLQP certification is considered an asset; candidates without it must be willing to complete it within the first year of employmentPowerBI experience an assetBenefitsCompetitive Compensation: Benefit from a pay structure that includes incentives, bonuses, and opportunities to increase your earnings.Work-Life Balance: Enjoy flexible work arrangements and generous time off to support your personal and professional life.Tailored Benefits: Access a personalized benefits package, including company-matched RRSPs, designed to meet your unique needs.Career Growth and Support: Invest in your future with HUB!
