Analyst Consultant
Education Resource Strategies is a national non-profit consulting firm that empowers school system leaders to make transformative shifts in resources, structures, and practices for K-12 education. The Analyst Consultant will utilize quantitative analysis to support resource allocation and improve educational outcomes for students in public school districts.ResponsibilitiesWork in small, highly collaborative teams to help design strategic shifts in how K-12 state education agencies and school districts allocate resources (people, time, and money)Break down complex, sometimes ambiguous questions into manageable components to inform actionable recommendations using methodologically sound quantitative methodsOwn clearly defined workstreams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSupport senior team members in developing recommendations that drive measurable impact for K-12 education partnersSupport research, data analysis, and modeling to generate insights and test hypothesesActively engage and contribute to culture-building initiatives rooted in learning and relationship-building, including quarterly ERS weeksSkillsBachelor's degree emphasizing quantitative and analytical coursework with a track record of strong academic achievementComfort working with numbers and data to break down and solve complex problems through quantitative analysis (efficiently and accurately categorize, make meaning of, and interpret large data sets with multiple variables)Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including the ability to synthesize complex material)Demonstrated passion for and commitment to ERS' mission and values exemplified through work experience, leadership opportunities, or community involvementOccasional travel for approximately 2–4 days at a time, typically averaging less than one trip per month (with some project phases requiring additional travel for limited periods)Adhere to a hybrid work schedule, working from our office in Watertown, MA office at least three consistent days per weekMust be authorized to work for an employer in the United States.
