Analyst, Business Intelligence
BrokerLink, part of Intact Financial Corporation, is seeking an Analyst for Business Intelligence. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to improve operational strategies and inform business decisions through complex analytics and statistical modeling. Responsibilities Examine departmental objectives and create dashboards of key metrics to monitor performance and provide recommendations based on analysis Design and develop reporting to test, track and improve results for new and ongoing initiatives Automate the distribution of data from a myriad of sources to multiple internal and external parties Analyze and optimize the use of data and platforms to drive growth Perform continuous improvement to tools, data and reports developed or used by the team Ensure solutions are released properly, and each release is documented Analyze product, market, and trends to build data models Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance and enhancement as needed Work with data warehouse architects, data scientists, and data collection application engineers Generate and deliver quality reports to operation and perform quality assurance checks on reports Troubleshoot and solve problems on data models Set up and maintain BI tools, infrastructure, and integration with company data sources Translate business requirements and problems into innovative technical solutions Use data to generate reports to support business decision-making and business performance monitoring Develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making Skills University degree in data-related field (i.e., Mathematics, Science, Statistics, AI, Computer Science, etc.), or any combination of equivalent education and experience Deep knowledge of BI reporting tools such as Power BI Solid experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Python) and ETL tools Understanding data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Great attention to detail Ability to work in a team Good communication skills Autonomous and with initiative Ability to think logically and troubleshoot issues Motivated to learn new business and technical concepts No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada Past experience in major enterprise with big contact center and sales department (An asset) Experience in the insurance industry (An asset) Experience with the agile methodology (An asset) Bilingual (French and English) (An asset) Benefits Flexible work arrangements and a hybrid work model Possibility to purchase up to 5 extra days off per year Multiple benefits offered to support physical and mental wellbeing, including telemedicine, Wellness account and much more Share plan & other savings: up to 12% of salary or even more (ask how you could earn guaranteed income for life) Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance) Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) – with Intact matching 50% of your net shares Our pension offerings provide flexibility and long-term security for our employees beyond their careers.
