Analyst, Backup Management

The Analyst, Backup Management is responsible for managing and maintaining backup solutions to ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance, while collaborating with other teams to resolve issues and optimize performance.ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain backup solutions including VEEAM, Datto SaaS Protect, and Azure BackupEnsure the integrity and availability of backup data by performing regular backups, test restores, monitoring backup jobs and auditing for unprotected dataDevelop and implement backup policies and procedures to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standardsPerform test restores to verify the reliability and effectiveness of backup solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve backup-related issues in a timely mannerIdentify and eliminate repeat or chronic issuesCollaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of backup solutions with other systems and applicationsProvide technical support and guidance to clients regarding backup solutions and best practicesMaintain documentation of backup configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting stepsStay updated with the latest developments in backup technologies and recommend improvements to existing solutionsKeep accurate notes of work performed and track time dailyProvide timely updates to management and clients via telephone, video chat and emailEngage management or other team members on challenging issuesSkillsProven experience in managing backup solutions, specifically VEEAM, Datto SaaS Protect, AWS and Azure BackupStrong understanding of backup and recovery principles, including RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective)Basic understanding of networking principlesIntermediate experience with virtualization technologies and storage hardwareProficiency in troubleshooting and resolving backup-related issuesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team membersAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experienceRelevant certifications such as VEEAM Certified Engineer (VMCE), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar are a plusBenefitsComprehensive Group Benefits ProgramPaid Holidays and VacationCompany-paid lifeEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany-paid training, materials, and examsPerformance-based bonusesFlexible/hybrid work arrangementsCompany OverviewWith 30 years of experience as a trusted managed services provider, we're your dedicated partner in navigating the complex world of technology, so you can focus on growing your business.
