Analyst

The Analyst role involves supporting client data requests, assisting with internal research projects, and managing data within the Analytics team to enhance civic participation and electoral programs.ResponsibilitiesExpertly leverage Catalist data resources, including voter files, microtargeting models, and synthetic tools in addressing client questions and needsSupport internal research and development projects through thoughtful analysis and clearly communicated findingsAssist with maintenance and development of internal Analytics data architectureCommunicate technical topics clearly and concisely in the form of presentations, webinars, memo drafts and technical reference documentationProvide quality control to ensure Analytics deliverables are conveyed accurately and preciselyOther duties as needed and assigned by the Deputy Director of AnalyticsSkills1-2 years of political campaign, analytics, and/or data experienceFamiliarity with Catalist data, progressive political needs, voter files, and/or commercial databasesFamiliarity with one or more of the following: data visualization, data engineering, digital media, commercial databases, applications of microtargeting models, polling and survey research, controlled experiments, mapping/GIS software, reporting, and program evaluationWorking knowledge of SQL, R, or Python and command line interfaces (CLI)Highly motivated, curious, and collaborativeStrong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated capacity to thrive in evolving environmentsBackground check requiredBachelor's degree in political science, social/behavioral science, economics, statistics, or related fieldExperience working in cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform with tools like BigQuery and AirflowExperience with version control tools such as GitBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Prescription DrugGroup Term Life Insurance and Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Coverage401(k) Safe Harbor PlanMedical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Transit BenefitsProfessional Development and Remote Work ExpensesStudent Loan PayDown or SaveUpVacation, Personal Leave, Sick Leave BenefitsHybrid Office/Remote WorkCompany OverviewCatalist is a provider of voter file data and data-related services.
