As a Packing & Shifting Associate at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are packed securely and efficiently, ready for shipment to our customers. Use appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit. • * Shifting Operations: Assist in moving products within the warehouse or distribution center, ensuring that items are correctly stored and easily accessible. • * Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies. Assist in organizing and maintaining an orderly warehouse. • * Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or issues before packing and report any concerns to the supervisor. • * Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment. • * Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment. • * Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packing and shifting activities, including inventory and shipping documentation. • Required Skills and Qualifications: • * Education: High School diploma or equivalent; additional certification in warehouse operations or logistics is a plus. • * Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse or packing environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. • * Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic warehouse tools and equipment. Ability to use packaging machinery is a plus. • * Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods. • * Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packing and inventory management. • * Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors. • Experience: • * Previous experience in a packing or warehouse role is advantageous but not essential. • * Experience with inventory management systems and basic computer skills is a plus. • Working Hours: • * Full-time positions with flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
