Are you a detail-oriented, patient-focused professional passionate about healthcare coordination? Charleston ENT & Allergy is looking for an Allergy Benefits Coordinator who will also assist in Surgery Scheduling. This dual-role position plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth patient care and providing support to our dedicated team of physicians.
Key Responsibilities
As an Allergy Benefits Coordinator, you will:
ā¢ Educate patients on allergy testing, immunotherapy options, and insurance coverage.
ā¢ Communicate financial details and counsel patients on their accounts and payments.
ā¢ Pre-certify services, obtain authorizations, and coordinate allergy appointments.
As part of the Surgery Scheduling Team, you will:
ā¢ Schedule surgeries, preoperative appointments, and coordinate with staff, hospitals, and patients.
ā¢ Verify insurance, assist patients with financial options, and ensure proper documentation.
ā¢ Handle physician schedules while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
Qualifications
ā¢ Education: High school diploma or GED required.
ā¢ Experience: 2+ years in medical administration or a healthcare office preferred; surgery scheduling experience is a plus.
ā¢ Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with team members.
