AI/ML Research Lead
Inservio is looking to connect with an experienced AI Research Lead to support upcoming research and innovation initiatives involving AI, data automation, risk analytics, and secure enterprise software systems.
This is a 12-month project-based opportunity. We are seeking someone who can help lead the technical direction of a federally oriented R&D effort, support research methodology, guide prototype development, and contribute to technical documentation, feasibility analysis, and validation planning.
Ideal background includes experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
• Natural Language Processing, LLMs, or AI-assisted data extraction
• Data engineering, data pipelines, and automation
• Entity resolution, relationship mapping, graph analytics, or knowledge graphs
• Financial, audit, operational, vendor, or supply chain risk analysis
• Secure software architecture and enterprise system integration
• Technical documentation, prototype validation, and feasibility studies
Relevant technical experience may include:
• Working with structured and unstructured data sources
• Designing data models, schemas, and analytical workflows
• Building or advising on AI/ML prototypes
• Developing explainable, auditable, and traceable decision-support systems
• Creating evaluation criteria, test plans, and validation methods
• Translating technical requirements into research plans and prototype roadmaps
Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting the technical research plan and methodology
• Advising on system architecture, data strategy, and model approach
• Helping define prototype requirements and success criteria
• Reviewing technical assumptions, risks, and feasibility
• Supporting reporting, documentation, and future development planning
• Collaborating with engineers, advisors, and business development leadership
This opportunity may be a strong fit for a university researcher, senior engineer, data scientist, technical advisor, or experienced professional with prior research leadership experience.
