We're looking for Japanese language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Japanese-language content. Your linguistic insight and teaching background will directly shape how AI understands, generates, and teaches Japanese ā making a real impact on one of the world's most nuanced and widely studied languages.

Location: Remote
Commitment: Minimum 15 hours/week, fully asynchronous
What You'll Do
ā¢ Evaluate AI-generated Japanese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
ā¢ Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
ā¢ Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps using your expert judgment
ā¢ Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally authentic Japanese
ā¢ Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps improve AI tutoring and language-learning models
ā¢ Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts
Who You Are
ā¢ Native-level proficiency in Japanese
ā¢ Experience teaching Japanese or evaluating learner language
ā¢ Strong English communication skills (C1/C2 level)
ā¢ Familiar with learner speech patterns and CEFR proficiency frameworks
ā¢ Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
ā¢ Detail-oriented with a consistent and principled approach to linguistic judgment
ā¢ No prior AI experience required

ā¢ Background in language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
ā¢ Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology
ā¢ Experience working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
