AI Developer (FinTech / NLP Focus)

Location: Remote / Hybrid (preferred: EMEA or MENA time zone) Type: Full-time Experience Level: Senior (5+ years in AI/ML, with FinTech experience) About the Role We’re seeking an experienced AI Developer with a solid track record in natural language processing, rule-based systems, and machine learning to help us build intelligent, compliant, and high-impact solutions in the FinTech space. You’ll work at the intersection of AI, finance, and data to develop models and systems that understand regulatory language, assess financial data, and deliver decision intelligence at scale. Responsibilities Design and implement NLP pipelines for financial documents (e.g., 10-Ks, earnings reports, contracts, KYC data) Develop and integrate rule-based engines with ML/NLP models for hybrid decision systems (e.g., risk scoring, compliance checks) Build and fine-tune LLMs and transformer-based models (e.g., FinBERT, GPT, LLaMA) Create document classification, entity extraction, and sentiment analysis models specific to financial language Integrate external APIs and financial data sources into ML pipelines Work closely with product and domain teams to translate financial and regulatory use cases into AI models Ensure explainability, transparency, and compliance of AI models in a regulated context Collaborate on deployment of models in cloud-native environments ( Azure) RequirementsMust-Have: 2+ years experience in AI/ML/NLP, with at least 2 years in the financial or fintech sector Deep understanding of NLP techniques (NER, text classification, embeddings, transformers) Experience with rule-based engines (spaCy rule patterns, Prolog-like systems, or business rule frameworks) Strong coding skills in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch/TensorFlow) Experience with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Weaviate) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques Familiarity with financial reports, regulatory compliance frameworks, or risk modeling Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker Nice-to-Have: Experience fine-tuning or deploying LLMs (e.g., GPT-J, Mistral, LLaMA 2) Familiarity with quantitative finance, credit risk models, or financial scoring systems Exposure to Graph-based AI, knowledge graphs, or semantic search Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) in model design Compensation Structure **************PLEASE READ CAREFULLY First 6 Months: Equity-based compensation + Commission.
