Overview:

Automation Engineers at Precisely design and build automation that connects tools, systems, and teams across globalization and user assistance operations. As part of a global team, you work closely with engineers, information developers, localization specialists, DevOps, and other cross‑functional stakeholders in an Agile and Agentic-first environment. You help reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and enable scalable workflows through API integrations, scripting, and AI‑enabled automation.

What you will do:

Design and implement automation that supports workflows across the documentation and software development lifecycle, including content creation, validation, publishing, UI localization and translation, and delivery.

Build and maintain agents, skills, scripts, and automation pipelines that replace manual, repetitive processes across documentation, localization, and language operations.

Integrate documentation, localization, and content systems, repositories, and services using MCPs/APIs to enable seamless, scalable workflows.

Apply AI‑ and LLM‑based tools to generate, validate, transform, enrich, and manage documentation and language content in alignment with approved security and compliance standards.

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automation infrastructure, agents, and pipelines to ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Contribute to documentation, reusable components, standards, and patterns that support scalable and repeatable automation practices across content and language operations.

Participate in team initiatives focused on automation maturity, innovation, and the evolution of AI‑assisted documentation and localization workflows.

Other duties may be assigned.

What we are looking for:

BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

At least 2-4 years of experience in automation engineering, software engineering, or systems integration, preferably supporting developer, documentation, or content operations workflows.

Strong proficiency in Python for building scripts, agents, and automation pipelines.

Experience using Git‑based version control systems such as GitHub, including pull‑request‑based workflows and repository automation

Experience with work‑tracking and planning tools such as Linear, JIRA, or similar issue‑tracking systems.

Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

AI Skills/Knowledge:

Experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate automation development, including code generation, refactoring, documentation, and test creation, with awareness of responsible AI practices such as security, bias, traceability, and explainability.

Strong experience designing and building production‑grade automation using Python and REST APIs.

Hands‑on experience developing and operating automation pipelines using Git‑based workflows and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

Proven ability to integrate and apply LLMs via APIs to automate documentation development and language operations, including content generation, validation, transformation, and enrichment.

Preferred Skills

Experience designing or operating multi‑agent or tool‑orchestrated AI workflows at scale, including failure recovery and coordination patterns.

Experience owning or evolving automation frameworks used across multiple products, teams, or repositories (not just single‑purpose pipelines).

Experience with observability, metrics, or cost tracking for AI‑driven automation systems.

Experience containerizing or deploying long‑running automation or agent services in production environments.
